About my gear

I am an unashamed convert to mirrorless cameras. The conversion began with a Fuji x100s and now I am shooting with the micro 4/3 Panasonic GX7 and Panasonic GH4.

The format is a little different and it’s true that you don’t get the same depth of field as with a full frame camera, but there are many benefits - the smaller size, the flip screens and, my favourite - touch focus!

The older images on this site were taken with DSLRs, but, everything over the past couple of years is exclusively with mirrorless.

Lenses

Remember that with the Micro 4/3 lenses you need to multiply the focal length and the aperture by two in order to get the 35mm equivalent.

  • Panasonic 15mm f1.7 - My most versatile lens.
  • Panasonic 12mm 1.4 - Great all-purpose wide angle lens.
  • Panasonic 12-25 f2.8 - My main all around and video lens.
  • Panasonic 42.5 mm f1.2 - An amazing lens which allows a really shallow depth of field.
